The Election Commission of Bangladesh (EC) has officially approved the Centre for Rights and Development (CRD) as one of the 66 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) authorized to observe upcoming national and local government elections in Bangladesh.

The approval, announced through an EC press release on November 6, 2025, follows a thorough review of 73 applications submitted for accreditation. CRD has been included in the final list of organizations permitted to work as Election Observers for a period of 5 years.

This recognition enables CRD to participate in election observation missions during the 12th National Parliamentary Election and various local government elections, contributing to the promotion of transparency, accountability, and good governance in the country’s democratic process.

CRD extends its gratitude to the Election Commission of Bangladesh for this recognition and remains committed to upholding integrity and impartiality in all observation activities.
